Pirate House Party Terms & Conditions.

  1. Pirate
    1. The promoter of this competition is: Pirate Studios Ltd, 2-4 Tottenham Road, Dalston, London N1 4BZ (“Pirate”, “we”, “us”).
  2. The competition
    1. The title of the competition is Pirate House Party. It’s a giveaway with one winner receiving a party at their house featuring DJ Craigie Knowes. The party will be filmed and later published to the Pirate Studios YouTube channel.
    2. To enter the competition, entrants must submit their details, including name, email address, city, date of birth and tell us why their house would be perfect to host the Pirate House Party. They will do this via the following URL: https://www.piratestudios.co.uk/pirate-house-party.
  3. How to enter
    1. The competition will run from [10am] 11.10.19 (the "Opening Date") to [11:59pm] 24.10.19 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
    2. All competition entries must be received by Pirate by no later than [11:59pm] on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
    3. To enter the competition:
    4. enter the competition online (https://www.piratestudios.co.uk/pirate-house-party) by submitting the required details and telling us why your house would be perfect to host the Pirate House Party.

    5. Pirate will not accept:
    6. proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

    7. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    8. Pirate Studios will select the top 5 answers from all eligible entries. The shortlist of 5 entrants will then be contacted to establish that they;
    9. Have the necessary permissions to host the house party.

      Have the appropriate space and access at the site for our production team to successfully transport and set-up their equipment including DJ, lighting, sound and film.

      Have the appropriate space to host an audience.

    10. In some instances, Pirate Studios may request video footage / photographs of the house to confirm section 8.1, 8.2.
    11. Once all 5 shortlisted entrants have been contacted, one winner will be chosen by Pirate Studios based on the viability of their house.
  4. Eligibility
    1. The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over,
    2. except:
    3. employees of Pirate or its holding or subsidiary companies;

      employees of agents or suppliers of Pirate or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or

      members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

    4. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so, have the required permissions from the homeowner to host the party and are eligible to claim any prize you may win. Pirate may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
    5. Pirate will not accept competition entries that are:
    6. automatically generated by computer;

      completed by third parties or in bulk;

      illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;

    7. Pirate reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition, if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, and/or are in breach of these terms and conditions.
  5. The prize
    1. The prize consists of:
    2. A house party thrown at your house with headline DJ Craigie Knowes, playing a filmed set to a select group of your friends and family.

    3. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
    4. Pirate reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Pirate’s control makes it necessary to do so.
    5. Pirate Studios reserves the right to cancel the event entirely due to unforeseen circumstances.
    6. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
  6. Winner announcement
    1. Once the final winner has been selected from the shortlisted entrants and has confirmed they are eligible for the prize, the winner will be announced on Pirate Studios’ Twitter channel on 04.11.19.
  7. Claiming the prize
    1. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have until 28.10.19 to claim the prize and confirm a date for the party with Pirate Studios.
    2. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf
    3. Pirate will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize by 25.10.19, Pirate reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the shortlist.
    4. Pirate does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  8. Limitation of liability
    1. Insofar as is permitted by law, Pirate, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Pirate, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  9. Data protection and publicity
    1. If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that Pirate may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
    2. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Pirate.
    3. By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used only by Pirate or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
  10. General
    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Pirate may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
    2. Pirate reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
    3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
